National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month: A Voice behind Ovarian Cancer

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and we’re focused on educating women about the disease.  It is one of the less common forms of cancer, but one of the deadliest among women because it is hard to detect, especially in the early stages.  We blogged about the risk factors, symptoms and signs in Amy’s Corner earlier this month, and we strongly encourage you raise your own awareness of ovarian cancer and spread the word to others.

Erika's Journey: The Endless MiracleOne way we’re helping bring attention and a voice to ovarian cancer is through the e-book, Erika’s Journey:  The Endless Miracle.  Erika was the best friend of Danah Bordner, LPGA golfer and spokesmom for our sister brand Loving Moments by Leading Lady.  Erika chronicled her battle with ovarian cancer in this book.  “It’s an inspiring, true story that we hope will educate and encourage those affected by cancer,” says Danah.  The book also gives a patient’s perspective on what to say to patients, caregivers and loved ones who are struggling with terminal illnesses.

We hope you will download Erika’s Journey:  The Endless Miracle on Amazon.com, Apple iTunes, BarnesandNoble.com and Kobobooks.com.  We think you’ll find Erika’s story to be an incredible tale that will touch your heart and inspire you to be a champion for this cause.
