Savvy Shopping

savvy shoppingThe Leading Lady style team believes that fashion doesn’t have to break the bank.  In fact, we think part of what’s fun about fashion is finding a great piece at a great price.  To help you stay on trend and on budget, we put together some tips on how to be both trendy and thrifty.

If designer brands make your heart melt, look for designers who are creating collections at department stores in your price point.  Also, some discount retailers have designer sections where you can find hot styles that won’t burn a hole in your wallet.

If you’re trying to be thrifty, why not try literally shopping thrift? Did you know that many Goodwill stores have a designer rack?  You can find the labels you like at thrift store prices you’ll love.  While some pieces may be quite modern, others may be older styles.  So an important key to thrifting is to know your vintage and which retro styles are currently on trend.

Being thrifty doesn’t mean you can’t ever buy an item at full price.  If you find that “must have” piece, buy it and complete your outfit with more affordable acessories or clothes you already own.  Putting together a “new to you” outfit can be just as exciting as buying a brand new head-to-toe look.

Lastly, if you shop online, check back here soon for some tips from some Leading Lady fans who really know how to find a good deal on the world wide web!
