Full Figure Fashion: Runway Inspired Bras

Full Figure Fashion Week brought fashionistas from around the world to New York last month to celebrate both fashion and curves.  We were inspired by the seasonal collections from the industry’s top full figure fashion designers.  From bright colors and patterns, to trendsetting silhouettes, the runway was popping with femininity, flavor and fashion.

We’re taking three of our favorite full figure fashion looks and sharing our recommendations for the best bra pairings to complete the outfit.

full figure fashionThe Look:  We love an uber flattering color-block dress from designer Kaylene. The illuminating golden yellow creates an hourglass silhouette, while the silver insets offer a beautiful curve at the waist.  With an elegant elbow length sleeve, the dress is perfect for work or play.

Our Pick:  For support and structure, we recommend our best selling Molded Padded Seamless Underwire Full Figure Bra.  This bra will smooth the bustline under the fitted top of the dress, while also providing all day comfort and support.

The Look:  Also by Kaylene, a modern goddess belted dress is perfect for summer.  Black and white is all the rage this for the current season and into fall, while the hot pink row of buttons and royal blue belt give it an exciting pop of color.  The sheer overlay skirt is fun and flirty for any summer outing.

Our Pick:  Sheer is in, from this stylish dress to our Scalloped Lace Full Figure Bra.  The soft lace matches beautifully with this dress, showing a hint of skin underneath to make any woman feel sexy and supported.

The Look:  It was hard to take your eyes off Plus Model Magazine’s June cover girl Rosie Mercado in a hot pink flowing dress.  Empire waist dresses are flattering on almost every body type, and the addition of a sheer skirt added extra swish as Rosie strutted down the runway.  We love the sheer cutout detail at the neckline for a delicate feminine touch.

Our Pick:  We suggest a lower cut bra such as our Seamless Racer Back Underwire Full Figure Bra to complement this gorgeous dress.  The bra dips lower on the chest and would not be seen under the sheer layer, and the racer back should keep the straps hidden on this, or any sleeveless top.

We hope you enjoyed checking out all of the latest trends during Full Figure Fashion week!  As you are updating your wardrobe with the new inspirations you saw on the runway, take advantage of our $15 bra sale on select styles!
