Breastfeeding Success Story: Kayla from La Leche League of Ashtabula Geauga Lake
Dear Leading Lady,
I would like to express my gratitude to Leading Lady for donating breastfeeding apparel to my La Leche League of Ashtabula Geauga Lake.
I love my lacy white bra! I certainly needed a comfortable and stylish nursing bra that fit!
I reside in rural Florida and no LLL chapter exists here, currently. I reached out to LLL Leader Adele McHenry-Koenen online for support and also guidance about building a support group for breastfeeding in my local community. She has been very resourceful, helpful, and kind. I am very grateful for her and this online breastfeeding community for providing a safe space to express concerns, exchange ideas, and celebrate milestones with. I also, thank you so much for supporting breastfeeding! It can be a tough journey to begin with, but, the benefits far outnumber the alternatives and I wouldn’t exchange our breastfeeding journey for anything.
My little one just turned one year old on Aug. 25th, the day Black Breastfeeding Week started, as well. We plan on continuing breastfeeding until baby shows disinterest and there are no signs of that happening any time soon! Leading Lady and La Leche League USA groups are paramount in the breastfeeding success stories of many.
With Gratitude,
Kayla
