Here at the San Angelo WIC office we are not just staff we are family. We provide an array of breastfeeding assistance and referrals. We assist with pumps, nursing bras, and as needed devices to assist mother’s to continue to nurse. World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated August 1-7 but we love to celebrate it all year round. Thanks to the many supporters of breastfeeding, we are able to serve families in our community. We host a monthly Liquid Gold League meeting for our breastfeeding mothers to support them to continue to breastfeed and spread their knowledge to pregnant mothers in our community. We annually participate in the BIG Latch ON and are very excited to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience. This life-sustaining substance (Breastmilk) is one of the best things I feel we can give to our future generations.
