How can I join in the holiday celebrations while I’m breastfeeding?!

There are so many things to look forward to in the holiday season…time with family and friends, holiday lights displays and shopping til you’re dropping, to name a few. But if you’re nursing, you probably won’t be sipping champagne and toasting with eggnog at your holiday parties this year.

Not to worry, you can still partake the holiday festivities, with one less ingredient of course. Our friends at Pregnancy & Newborn recently featured non-alcoholic holiday drinks for moms-to-be and nursing moms, and we couldn’t wait to join them — chilled glasses and maraschino cherries in hand. Inspired by our line of nursing intimates, let us introduce you to our Leading Lady mocktails. Trust us, they are every bit as tasty as the traditional versions, and rather than giving you a buzz, you can get that tingly feeling from the cute little noodle you’re nursing.
Throughout the holidays, we’ll be updating our recipe book so make sure to check back in to see what we’re sipping next.

Bubbly Baby Sparklers: Just like Leading Lady’s lace-cup underwire and wirefree nursing bra, sparklers (instead of champagne) will add some sass and dazzle to your holiday. Serve in a champagne glass to glamorize the experience.

1.5 oz. of any pureed berry (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, cranberry, strawberry, whatever you like!)

2-3 oz. of your favorite sweet fruit juice

2-3 oz. of sparkling water

*Mix the above ingredients and garnish as designed with mint or bits of fruit

Mama’s Margarita: Chill out with a virgin margarita, just as relaxed as Leading Lady’s lightly molded crossover leisure bra. With drink in hand, you’ll be cute and comfortable in this fun and supportive bra.

½ cup of virgin margarita mix

½ cup of grapefruit or orange juice

1 teaspoon of grenadine

½ teaspoon granulated sugar

*Blend the margarita mix and juice with ice cubes. Wet the rim of your glass and dip into sugar. Pour grenadine in the bottom of the glass and top with the margarita and juice slushy.

Cozy Apple Pie Cider: As “feel good” as apple pie, Leading Lady’s cotton wirefree front closure leisure bra will warm your holiday as you’re lounging at home with family. What a perfect drink and a perfect bra for opening presents on Christmas morning!

1 cup apple cider

1 tablespoon brown sugar

¼ teaspoon allspice

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

pinch of ground cloves

pinch of grated nutmeg

pinch of salt

*Bring all ingredients to a boil in a saucepan. Serve in a festive mug with a cinnamon stick.

Peppermint Hot Mama Chocolate: Warm up those chilly winter nights with a holiday cocoa and by wearing Leading Lady’s seamless lace-trimmed bra. Both the cocoa and the bra are sure to keep things steamy!

½ cup milk

½ cup cream

1/8 cup sugar

Pinch of salt

2 oz. chocolate chips

1 drop peppermint oil

*Combine milk, sugar and salt in a saucepan over low heat. Once steaming, add the chocolate and peppermint oil. Top with whipped cream and additional chocolate as desired.

Flirty Lacey Colada: If you’re looking for that sweet, tropical flavor, then a pure coconut colada may be what you’re after. And keep it cool and cute underneath with Leading Lady’s lace-trimmed bralette.

1 cup ice

½ cup passion fruit juice

½ cup pineapple juice

½ cup cream of coconut

*Blend the above ingredients and enjoy

My Little Shirley Temple: This two-tone classic is not just for the kids. It’s a great twist on the regular soda. And speaking of twists, Leading Lady’s baby sees it bra with a printed sling is a fun way to stimulate and engage your baby’s senses while she is wetting her whistle.

¼ cup grenadine syrup

1 ½ cups lemon/lime soda

cherries galore

*Mix to your heart’s desire.
